Wang Huiyao Speaks to TUC Students; Career Carnival Draw to an Open End

Crowned by KMG (Kotler Marketing Group), fittingly titled “self-marketing for a successful life”, the lecture series organized by SCDA (Student Career Development Association) has already became the hot topic on campus.

SCDA end its month long preeminent-guest-featured lecture series with Mr. Wang Huiyao, vice chairman of the China Western Returned Scholars Association as their honorable speaker April 23,2009 in Science Auditorium.        

No bodyguard, no flashy cloth or darkglasses，Wang Huiyao as a guru in his own field appeared on campus without any should- be-special sign. However, with so many distinguished titles that cannot squeeze into his calling card, Mr. Wang Huiyao is definitely no ordinary person.

“By ‘open up’ I mean something concerning mainly if not only with one’s mentality.” With an earnest smile Mr. Wang speaks to TUC students on his life story which is not only about success, but most importantly, about a fresh new concept -- “open up your life”. He even compiled his experience and inspirations into a book, titled the same, witch turn out to be big hit last year. “It is a reflection of my interaction with 200 eminent figures; and leading an “open up” life seems to be the same attributes they possessed”.

In his speech Mr. Wang also incorporated a number of pick-up lines that works perfectly well on a daily basis. Like “Self-confidence is the Key to Success. ” witch highlighted the importance of being confident.

After the question and answer section, all the staff member of SCDA line on the stage to express their thanks to the audience and the faculty’s support in this particular month. 

“We feel relieved to know that so many students are supporting us. Our pains has been paid”. A student official of SCDA said with tears in her eyes, “Our association is our second home, we are all brothers and sisters. Although we have to get ourselves fully involved in our work to achieve a certain goal, nobody has ever complained, for we are working together as a family.”

SCDA’s unprecedented cooperation with KMG marked a fresh new start for introducing eminent figures into TUC .This trend should be continued to provide TUC students with a global perspective as well as an open environment to foster the opening-up-mind, said Shi Chao, the special host of this lecture series, an alumni epitome of TUC.
